GCSE Results Day 2024

Testbourne Community School is delighted to congratulate its students on their fantastic GCSE and technical award qualifications this summer. Three quarters of students achieved a ‘standard’ pass of grade 4 and above in both English and Maths combined. Over 15% of students achieved the top grades 9-7 in both English and Maths. Our class of 2024 should be thrilled with their achievements, which are testament to their hard work and determination.

14% of students achieved at least one of the top grade 9s in their GCSEs, whilst 52 grade 9s were awarded to students across all subjects. Of these top grades, over half were in English, Maths or Science. This is in addition to many other students who made great progress from their starting points during their time at Testbourne.

Biology, Chemistry, Combined Science, Computer Science, Dance, Design & Technology, Drama, Engineering, English Language, English Literature, Geography, Health & Social Care, Mathematics, Music, and Physics, are celebrating pass rates above 75% with their students.
Our students can celebrate in the knowledge that they have achieved some excellent results this year and we wish them well in the next stage of their education.

Mr Beck, Headteacher at TCS said: “As always, it was a pleasure to see the many happy students opening their results envelopes. My thanks go to our hard-working staff who play such an important role in our students’ achievements. I would also like to recognise our supportive families, some of whom have been to several results days over the past few years, without whom, students would struggle to be successful. We take great pride in teaching our students to be resilient and independent so that they are well-prepared for their post-16 studies and their future beyond education.”
